Haskapa was founded by physician Dr Evie Kemp and green entrepreneur Simon Fineman, who discovered the haskap berry growing in the cold Canadian climate and were captivated by its extraordinary colour, bold flavour and exceptional nutritional profile. What began on a small farm became a mission: to bring this wonder berry to people who want natural nutrition that genuinely works.

Thought to have originated in the frozen wilderness of Siberia and carried by birds to the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, the berry was named "haskap" by the indigenous Ainu people — meaning 'many things (fruits) on branches.' A berry with roots in some of the harshest climates on earth, it's perhaps no surprise it packs such an extraordinary nutritional punch.
